34 portraits of women in pornographic representations Technique: priming (synthetic dispersion) on paper (90/60cm) print: picture patterns taken from the internet, printed with special technique series consisting of 34 individual pictures year: 1999 The
individual is not becoming topic of the portrait on basis of his social
position or his own vanity, but as a picture of humans in time, absolutely.
Not the individual is being immortalized or can be immortalized, but the
unknown, nameless human being. Nothing is known to me about this human
being except his compelling existence. He is anonymous. Named by a file
name. His picture is accessible by everyone without reservation. The picture
of humans in the internet mostly is nude. Adam and Eve are taking a stroll
in a paradise? The portraits taken are those of women in pornographic
representations from pages, free accessible in the internet. There can
be only seen their focused faces. The pornographic context can only be
grasped through explanation, the title of the series. This original content
of the picture has been deleted from the information, but is added again
through the explanation, through the title of the series. This simple
measure forces the viewer to fit together the information of the picture
and the text to a whole thing. This men's curiosity is nothing else but
the desire of watching a pornographic representation. But this only a
few people will admit - naturally. The hypocritical experiment has delivered
the next positive result. At the same time I finish the reproducible chain
of pictures. From copy the original is born. ©rwanek
